Great location right across from supermarkets & i-SITE office! 😍 Clean and comfy room but struggled with the noisy pub below. Could've used better bathroom supplies. Had a decent stay overall!

Disappointingly small room size!!! Only one shower shared among too many rooms!!! Shared kitchen filthy without proper utensils!!! Misleading online description!!! Basic and outdated shared bathrooms providing limited comfort!!! No soap or shampoo provided, which is quite unfriendly!!!

an absolutely delightful stay, if you ignore the noise from the bar below my room. The lovely view of the rubbish bins outside. I expected at least a complimentary drink after such inconveniences. next time, I'll be sure to stay anywhere but here! almost gave a glowing review, but i just couldn't forgive the chaos.

My stay at the Horse And Jockey Inn was quite pleasant. The location is ideal, right in the heart of Matamata, making it easy to explore nearby shops and cafes. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep.

Really loved the family suite we booked. It was clean and spacious, perfect for us. Just wished there were more beddings. it was a bit chilly at night. Dinner was yum but on the pricier side for a pub.

The friendly staff, the clean linens, the lovely meal was simply delightful.

Just a nice choice for a quick stopover in Matamata with good value for price. The food was amazing, really enjoyed the meals. Bring your own toiletries for a better experience.

after camping with my sons, the horse was a great break. clean sheets, hot showers, and the pork ribs were delicious. they exceeded my expectations and we really enjoyed our stay here!

Great stay with friends! We enjoyed playing billiards and exploring nearby Skydive Waikato and Matamata Golf Club, just a short drive away. The staff were nice, and the room had all we needed. It was clean, and the beds were comfy enough for a restful night.

The only downside was the service at the restaurant. our orders took a long while to arrive, and we felt a bit forgotten despite the busy scene.
